Airport Transportation to Carolina Beach and Pleasure Island
Wilmington International Airport is about 35 to 40 minutes from Carolina Beach by US 421 and Snow's Cut. Your driver watches the flight in real time, and the Escalade or a party bus takes the group and its bags off Snow's Cut in one load.
Raleigh-Durham, Charlotte and Myrtle Beach International book through the same form. Each runs the way the Carolina Beach to ILM trip runs, with one driver and one vehicle from the terminal to the rental.
Car Service Timed to the Snow's Cut Bridge
US 421 crosses Snow's Cut on the only bridge onto Pleasure Island, and every car headed to Carolina Beach or Kure Beach funnels through it. On a summer changeover Saturday, when one set of renters is leaving and the next is arriving, the bridge backs traffic up on both sides.
Bridge traffic can change the trip time. Downtown Wilmington is about 30 to 35 minutes from Carolina Beach, and you can include your rental check-in time with the trip request.

The Carolina Beach Boardwalk and the fireworks that light it up on summer nights pull a crowd that wants one ride for the whole group, not a line of separate cars.
